Frustrated Day

Dun know why today feel so frustrated and get agitated very easily. Time is passing so slowly today. When will this going to end? ARGH!!!!!!!

Back to Home

Yesterday, Ryan and me went back home to sleep for one night and hubby had changed the new bedsheet set to Mickey Mouse. The feel is great. Hubby was very sweet to both Ryan and me too and we also manage to take care of Ryan without much difficulties. Ryan slept around 12 plus midnight and woke up for milk at 3.50am, after finishing drinking milk, he went back to sleep.
Actually hoping that tonight can go back and stay but mummy confirmed nag as my confinement still haven't over. Miserable confinement period. Mummy had a hard time looking after me cos i am too stubborn and sometimes do not listen to her. However, I really want to thanks my mummy and i know she nagged at me is for my own good.

These photos were taken on 9 feb 09 when Ryan was sleeping. So cute!

Our small Ryan

Our Ryan was born on 3 feb 09, 0819am, at Mount Alvernia Hospital.
It took almost 12 hours for the dilation, and had requested epidural. I did not feel any pain even when Ryan is being delivered. I was quite regretted to have the epidural as i can't feel him being pushed out at all as i felt numb, quite sad.

I had stayed 4 days in the hospital, while Ryan stayed 5 days as he was down with jaundice. During the third day in hospital, we thought that we can discharged and go back home together. Nevertheless, the baby doctor said that Ryan's jaundice level is 14.9 which is quite bad, and suggested Ryan to stay in hospital for the UV light. I was so upset, and decided to stay with him for another night. However, the next day, his jaundice level is still not so satisfatory, 13.7, and we still can't bring him back home. As staying together with him one more night again will bring extra cost so I discharged from the hospital that day and left him in the hospital. At night, we went back to see how he was doing, and he was fine. We were hoping that he can get well soon and able discharged the next day. Day 5: I was waiting anxiously at home for Ryan's blood test result, i called the nursey 2 times and finally the results was out, it was 11, and doctor said he can be discharged. I was so happy and excited until I forgot to being Ryan's clothes to the hospital for him to wear. Luckily, the nurse lent us one clothes for him to wear on, and asked us to return when we go back for check up.

Ding is getting very tired these few days too, been coming over until 3 to 4am den go back home again. Sometimes we really not sure why Ryan kept crying and crying and have to keep guessing what does he wants. Ding really can cope with Ryan quite well too, he able to help Ryan change diapers, and i felt that he did a better job than me. But, there was once when we were helping Ryan to change diapers during middle of the night, when both of us are in sleepy mood, Ryan kept fidgeting and his legs got his motion and after which urinated, we were like ants on hot pans, ended up the urine drip onto the mattress and floor. And another incident was while we changing his diapers, he pass motioned and the mattress had to bring and washed again. Nowadays, I felt a bit scared when changing his diapers.

Last night, Ryan passed motion around 8 times. not sure why Ryan kept passing motion. I called the Mount Alvernia Nursery and check with them that is it normal for him to pass motion for 8 times. The Nursery(Joan) told me that it's not normal as he is not totally breastfeeding and asked me to bring him to 24 hour clinic to check. After discussing with ding, we decided to bring Ryan to KK hospital and check. After the check up, doctor said Baby is healthy and fine. But, being first time parents, me and ding are so blur that we forgot to prepare Ryan's milk powder, luckily the nurse over there was very nice, they prepared the milk for Ryan to drink.

It's going to be a long long journey for us and there's a lot for us to learn.
